*Chicago’s overall record this season, including playoffs, is 13 overs, 4 unders and 1 push.

WinnerOnline Opinion: Peyton and the Colts seem to be getting all the attention from the media and books alike, but that probably suits the Bears just fine.

Yes Rex Grossman is inconsistent and yes Chicago is the underdog, but the Bears aren’t some team that got in on a wing and a prayer.

The Bears are the NFC’s top seed with a regular season record of 13-3. They have a very good defense—although it may be a stretch to compare them to Buddy Ryan’s ’85 unit—and the cupboard isn’t bare on the offensive side either. WRs Mushin Muhammad and Bernard Berrian are good targets, RBs Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson are a very potent 1-2 combo and watch out when Devin Hester returns a punt or kickoff.

But it all depends on the play of Grossman of course, who could easily piss the game away. Rex should have sufficient motivation though. All week he’s been hearing about how much better Manning is, so he’s probably ready to stick it to the naysayers.

On the other hand Peyton Manning and the Colts are firing on all cylinders at the right time. Indy has the second best offense in the playoffs and (surprise!) the best defense.

Peyton knows that he might not get another chance and is studying every defensive alignment by the Bears’ with the aim to exploit any weakness.

Watch out for the weather as well, rain could greatly alter the effectiveness of Peyton and the Colts' passing game.

Look for the Bears to give the Colts a run for their money, but also look the Colts to get the straight up win.

Take the Bears with the points, take the Colts SU or on the moneyline.
