BoDog lists Annika Sorenstam at 400/1 to win PGA Tour debut
21 February 2003

PRESS RELEASE

SOURCE: BoDog Sportsbooks and Casino

BoDog Sportsbook & Casino continues to set trends in the sportsbetting industry. First, it was the LeBron James 'Which Shoe will he choose' prop, now it's Annika Sorenstam.

BoDog has become the first sportsbook in the world to offer odds on how Annika will do when she becomes the first woman to play on the PGA Tour in 58 years when she competes in the Colonial Invitational this May.

"The sporting world's attention has been focused on one thing the past week, and that's Annika and how she's going to do against the men," said Rob Gillespie, BoDog President. "We've come up with two seperate props for Annika."

The first is based solely on how she finishes up her first round. Oddsmakers at BoDog have made 'Over 75' a 3/2 favorite with '73-75' @ 8-5. Shooting Par or better is a 2/1 longshot.

"Some people think she'll shoot under par without a problem, but our feeling is that the public won't carry that same respect for Annika's game," said Gillespie.

The other prop is based on Annika's finish. The opening line had 'Misses Cut' as a heavy 1/4 favorite. BoDog oddsmakers have listed Annika as a 400/1 longshot to win the tournament.

"She's going to be under an intense amount of scrutiny throughout the week," said Gillespie. "Even if she plays well enough to be in contention, it's unrealistic to think she could handle the pressure associated with winning it all."
