The East Coast of the USA is experiencing a major birth of casinos in many states. The legalisation of the casinos are to help with the states increasing their state revenue through gambling and increased tourism. Of late, Pennsylvania have opened casinos and continues to draw many gambling numbers from a very dry Atlantic City. But as soon as Pennsylvania have come to join the party, it’s western neighbour Ohio has just voted on legalising casinos, which should also mean that the casinos in Pennsylvania will see their Ohio customers stay home.
Another old player of the casinos game, Foxwoods of Conneticut have had to draw out new plans in the boardroom with gambling legalisation a possibility in January 2010 in the state of Massachusetts. Others to join the party include Maine, New Hampshire and Delaware by spring 2010. Profits are already no where near as strong as they were two years back, and with so many new players opening to snatch at a very small pie, the continual opening of casinos will only cause more problems for all the old players and the new ambitious cowboys.
