Jennifer said: "I've got a special little grey dress I'll be wearing for him when he steps into the ring."
"I tried telling him about it but all he said was, 'Darling, wear a binbag but you'll still look great to me.'
Of course I'm nervous - and excited. This is the biggest fight of his life. After it, who knows?"
Vegas is so full of hype that it takes alot to get locals excited.
But they certainly have been captivated by the Hatton-Mayweather bout. One of the local papers even gave readers ahandy guide to Hatton's home city.
"Manchester", it revealed, "is home to most of the world's grey."
Carol Hatton has left her carpet stall at Glossop Indoor Market, in the Peak District, to be beside her boy.
She said: "Of course he's gonna win. Even when he was born, he looked like a boxer. He looked like a right little bruiser."
"There's boxing going back generations in our family. Though I'd have preferred if Richard - I always call him that - had been a footballer."
She added: "I'm just very proud of him. He has earned every penny in the ring but I do want him to finish with all his faculties intact. I want him walking up the aisle with Jennifer - all his marbles there."
"Thankfully I've never seen him get a beating but my nerves on fight day are unbearable."
"I hate the day of a fight. I can't eat. I don't know what to do with myself. It's a horrible feeling I wouldn't wish on anybody." Continued
