Continued from page 1

1) Florida – QB Tim Tebow (-1000)

The University of Florida Gators QB was the leader in Scripps’ final poll and was considered by many to be the frontrunner for this year’s award regardless of where he ranked.

While the Gators won’t be chasing the BCS title this year, Tebow passed for over 3000 yards with 29 TDs to 6 INTs and complemented his passing numbers with 838 yards rushing, an additional 22 TDs on the ground and 177.85 passer rating.

He received seven out of 10 first place votes.

2) Arkansas – RB Darren McFadden (+400)

Although it finished 8-4, Arkansas can take pride in two things this season:

a) It nearly booted LSU out of the national title picture with a triple OT win over Tigers on Thanksgiving long weekend.

b) RB Darren McFadden could take home the Heisman this year.

McFadden not only rushed for 1,725 yards and 15 TDs in 2007 he finished in second in Scripps Howard’s final Heisman poll collecting three first place votes.
