Of all the Broncos’ injuries the most notable is to K Jason Elam. Elam injured his hamstring last week against Seattle and despite his questionable status will take to the field in the crucial divisional matchup against SD.
Chances for an appearance by LB Al Wilson were 50-50 earlier in the week, but Head coach Mike Shanahan is quoted in the Denver Post as saying that Wilson is expected to play despite his questionable status.
RB Cecil Sapp was placed on IR earlier this week and is lost for the rest of the season.
Chargers WR Keenan McCardell didn’t take to the practice field at all this week and is listed as questionable with a calf injury.
McCardell’s injury mirrors that of LB Randall Godfrey who will miss the game in all likelihood.
RB Michael Turner (hamstring) and WR Eric Parker (knee) are both expected to play against Denver.
