Crown Move To Bankrupt High Roller
18th of June 2010

Crown Casino has made the necessary steps forward to bankrupt it’s most well known high roller client Harry Kakavas in a bid to go after the funds that Mr Kakavas owes them. The action comes as the court had dismissed Mr Kakavas’ multi million dollar counter sue on the casino and withheld the casino’s $1m claim for funds. Mr Kakavas’ has advised the court that his personal debts are well over $50 million with much of it owed to other casinos around the world as well as angry investors of his real estate company.

Harry Kakavas’ property investment company Elite Property is already under the management of a liquidator. It has been well known in Australian media that Mr Kakavas was a very highly sought after high roller and was well known all over the world’s major gambling spots. At his height he won over $1.579 billion but his good run at the casino ended and he managed to lose it all.
