After nine long years at the top of Ladbrokes, Christopher Bell has decided that it is time to move on and step down from the Chief Executive roll and temporary leave the UK gambling industry. Chris has been under fire for a lack of growth in the last 12 months and despite a very strong brand name and the overall growth of the industry. Christopher Bell spent 20 years with Ladbrokes and was on hand to witness the phenomenal boom that online gambling has experienced.
The board of Ladbrokes will now be choosing a new Chief Executive Officer for the company and is looking within the company and also externally. The board has outlined that it is very keen to see some aggressive growth in it’s brand name, especially in the international market. Shares of Ladbrokes have risen 0.9% after the news.
