Brazilian Lottery Players Dismay 25th February 2010
A lottery syndicate in Brazil have decided to launch legal action against a lottery seller after their lottery ticket became the winning ticket and due for a $US30 million prize. Their joy turned to anger as they soon discovered that their ticket was not actually registered by the shop that sold them the lottery ticket.
The police are now involved in trying to solve the case since the ticket was legitimately paid for and since the ticket was not registered, the shop owners have committed fraud. The shop has since been deregistered from trading lottery tickets. The shop is still under investigation by a government agency and will face a law suit from the lottery syndicate.
