The Borgota Casino has had a devastating fourth quarter with the December snowstorm severely denting the Casino’s revenue. The usual Christmas fare brings good revenue to the Atlantic City casino, but this Christmas, a snowstorm came and has delivered an estimated $5 million in lost earnings. Executives at the casino believe that the snowstorm will wipe out another $5 million in revenue from first quarter earnings with so many gamblers still cautious about gaming at Atlantic City.
Borgota casino has employed an aggressive cost cutting strategy and has managed to improve it’s bottom line as a result. However, revenue has still yet to rise back to it’s previous peaks with nearby Pennsylvania hijacking many of Atlantic City’s best customres. The casino is well positioned to reap the rewards of a stronger economy once the recession clears.
