Poker.com Inc. is Encouraged by Passing of the Kyl Internet Gambling Prohibition Bill, S.627, by the U.S. Senate Banking Committee
1 August 2003

SOURCE: Poker.com Inc.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Poker.com Inc. (OTCBB:PKER - News) announces it may be positively impacted by legislation banning the use of credit cards, wire transfers and other banking instruments to fund internet gambling activities by American citizens which was unanimously passed today by the U.S. Senate Banking Committee without debate and will be reported to the full Senate at a later date.

The passing of the legislation is of significance to Poker.com Inc. through the potential impact on the operations of the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Skill Poker.com Inc. Skill Poker.com Inc. is the development and operating division of Poker.com Inc. focusing on the completion and marketing of a patent pending technology known as Skill Poker. The Skill Poker system at www.SkillPoker.com will enable the playing of poker games online without contravening legislation such as and similar to the Kyl Bill, S. 627, introduced by Senator Jon Kyl, R-Arizona.

"Further to the passing of the Bacchus Bill through the House of Representatives earlier this summer and now the Kyl Bill, we maintain that our strategy is the correct one for our company in that the political pressure to regulate online gaming is real and legislative policy is moving in the direction of government regulation in online gaming. We are excited about the anticipated launch of Skill Poker which will be the legal and possibly only choice for U.S. based online poker players," states Mark Glusing, President of Poker.com Inc.

The bill proposes to block online gambling companies from accepting credit cards or other banking instruments facilitating payment from those U.S. residents engaging in online gaming. The passing of S. 627 by the Senate Banking Committee may have a serious effect on the ability of other online gaming companies to continue marketing to U.S based customers who comprise the largest market in online gaming. The Skill Poker system should not be affected by this or other legislation as the patent pending technology is not considered gambling.
