Atlantic City Casinos Vote Conservative 18th of June 2010
In a strange twist to the world of gambling, a piece of legislation was passed through the state of New Jersey to allow for Atlantic City casinos to provide internet gambling services from it’s own state gambling licence. Although the bill was passed through the state senate, the casinos themselves have now come out a voiced that they are against the bill being passed. Assembly man John Burzichelli, received a letter from the Regulatory Oversight and Gaming Committee to hold off voting on the bill until casinos could receive further guidance.
The underlying feel of it all right now is that the Atlantic City Casinos fear internet gambling would be more of a competition to it’s resort style gambling servicers than of any help. Where as there are representatives on the other side of the fence who feel that providing gambling online will actually enhance the image of the casinos and bring more people to the resort.
