The Atlantic City state casino control commission has ruled to fine two Atlantic City casinos $10,000 each for permitting man who had barred himself from the casinos to gamble. This has been ruled as bad management by the casino since it has a responsibility to society to ensure those who have excluded themselves are not permitted into the premise. The man was able to continual create new player accounts to ensure he could not be turned away. The casinos were able to cancel 13 of the 15 accounts, but the man was able to still gamble under the other two.
Three other casinos were also fined $3,200 for allowing underage casinos to play and were fined the total amount that the under age players were able to win. Many casinos are trying to work out how to vigilantly exclude those who self exclude themselves from casinos. Creating false names under new accounts is one way that the excluded individuals are finding their way back into the casinos. The excluded individual lost over $87,000 at the casinos whilst being excluded.
