Betting On The 2008 Masters

Continued from page 1

Sportsbetting.com is offering a betting option based on the Woods-Mickelson rivalry as Tiger is a prohibitive fave at -400 in a Tournament Matchup prop against Lefty who is +300.

The examples of Tiger being listed as an underdog, or as a minus for that matter, are few and far between but according to bodoglife.com, Eldrick is listed at +2500 to get a Hole in One in Augusta.

Realizing that Tiger gets a majority of the wagers, bet365.com is offering Tiger-less betting option and Woods’ rival, Phil Mickelson is the odds-on favorite at +600 followed by Vijay Singh at +1000.

European bettors love betting on golf much more than their North American counterparts and therefore, bet365 is offering more options.

Among the unique options on the menu are a Top Australasian and British/Irish wager; Geoff Ogilvy (+188) and Padraig Harrington (+180) are the respective favorites.

But the offerings don't always deal with winning; bet365 is offering a dubious “Missed Cut” prop and Thai golfer Prayad Marksaeng is the favorite at -250.

The 2008 Masters runs from April 10-13.
