You can choose to wager strictly on players of course, but there are always alternatives. Here is a list of proposition bets that might catch your eye:

Speaking of Mike Weir, bet365 is offering a bet on what he will shoot after the first round and the list goes as follows: ≤70 (+220), 71 or 72 (+550), 73 (+600), 74 (+650). >75 (+250).

Bodog has a wager for who will have the lead after a round and the options will be no doubt familiar:

Tiger Woods is listed at +400, Lefty Mickelson is listed at +900 and Ernie Els at +1400.

If you think there will be a hole in one this year you can wager at Pinnacle Sports at +160.

If you think it will be a tightly contested tournament and a playoff will occur, scroll down the Pinnacle menu and wager at +270.

The Greek Sportsbook is offering an interesting total par prop. If you think that the total number of players under par will be below 11˝ you can wager at -120 and if you think the number golfers will be over 11˝, wager at -105.

While most bettors are either cheering or licking their wounds after March Madness, that doesn’t mean that the Masters is off the radar of the betting public.

“Considering the international appeal of Golf, The Masters is definitely a popular event for us,” said a Bodog oddsmaker.

“In terms of crossover appeal, it can be considered the Daytona 500 or Wimbledon of golf.”
