The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) is going to receive a boost from the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure with the poker tournament series hosting a $5,250 buy-on charity event to donating half of the prize pool to the not for profit organisation. The organisation is dedicated to funding research for AIDS around the world, and has raised some $290 million since it’s conception in 1985.
Many of poker’s biggest stars are set to participate in the event. Of those confirmed, Boris Becker and Mats Sundin will be heading the athletes poker pros list along with members of Team PokerStars Pro like Daniel Negreanu. Every year PokerStars hosts the very popular PokerStars Caribbean Event with plenty of fanfare and funds for charity to make it a well rounded event.
