The continual growth of poker has often been attributed to lots of males taking up the game. A recent study from independent market analysts Poker Players Research suggests that the female poker playing population is set to rise dramatically. In just two years time, female poker players will make up a third of all poker players. International tournament organisers like the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker have both launch ladies only events year after year so they clearly know where the market is heading. With online poker rooms also continually marketing towards women and profiling more female poker players, all the male players out there have better watchout who they are check raising on the river.
