The Advertising Standards Authority received multiple complaints that the gambling ad was highly inappropriate and was irresponsible for targeting disadvantaged women. After close examination, the authority found multiple errors that could mislead consumers.
The ad shows a young mother who is receiving benefits who seems to have her fortunes changed by winning some money from gambling. Another ad showed a single mother holding a baby and claiming that she was able to win close to 50 thousand pounds. The ads were part of Prime Gaming’s campaign to promote itself.
