Nevada Makes It 19 Straight
11th September 2009

Vegas casinos have reported another month of falling gaming revenue. This makes it 19 straight months where revenue continues to reflect low tourist numbers and tight spending.

In a 12.5 percent decrease since last year, Nevada casinos reported revenues of $872.7 million during July 2009, compared to the $997 millino reported in July 2008. Vegas strip casinos saw an 11.1 percent decline, with $461.3 million this year as compared to $519.2 million 12 months ago.

The only good news to come out of Nevada, was the North Las Vegas Casinos had an increase in revenue with the help of the new Aliante Station casino. Revenue there increased by 7.4 percent to $23.6 million compared to $22 million a year ago.
