Online gambling giant 888 Holdings Propriety Limited has seen a second quarter boost of seven percent to the revenue as compared to the same figures last quarter. The well known gambling site that includes 888.com online casino and internet poker room pacific poker.com and also sports betting site betmate.com has posted revenues of US $61 million. Their latest business of reselling their gambling software to other operators has contributed to their strong revenue.
Although they have seen increased revenue for the last quarter compared to the previous quarter, they are still roughly 12 percent down from last year's quarter. The company sees that the recession has caused less gamers to come online and is gearing itself for a boost in revenue when the recession eventually rides out.
The company is currently expanding it's business through selling it's software to more companies targeting Continental Europe and targeting female gamblers. The company currently has contracts with at least twenty European countries to build online gaming sites in those countries.
