Making The Wong Move in Macau
28 July, 2009

Two casino croupiers in Macau, Wong and Lei, have been arrested by local police. It is suspected that they stole gaming chips worth 600,000 Hong Kong Dollars worth $77,420 US Dollars from a casino in Macau. Both worked for different casinos in Macau and were caught by their supervisors when it was recorded that the tables that they were on duty for continually came up short in chips.

Wong was detained when he was actually on duty at a casino and Lei was arrested with the actual stolen chips in his hand. The plot was arranged between the two croupiers where Wong would steal the chips and Lei would take a cut when he came and cashed the stole chips. The operation started in May last year, with casinos to review cashing receipts and security videos to calculate the exact amount the pair stole..
