Online website and domain name trading website has announced that it has recently sold off the domain name poker.org for a reported $1 million dollars. The domain name poker.org was owned by National A-1 Advertising and was sold to company Pokercompany.com. Pokercompany.com plans to use poker.org to further enhance it’s own brand and to ensure greater traffic. The $1 million dollar price tag is the highest ever price tag for a .org domain name.

Previous .org domain names have sold for $198,000 and $151,400. These .org types of domain names do not generate such a high sale price since .org domains are usually not for profit organisations. Sites that have .com on it sell for as much as $14 million. With the growth of online gambling around the world, there will be more domain names being traded, with .com domain names fetching much higher, inflated prices.
