Harrah's Entertainment has a new interactive division, a new boss to run the new operation (ex-PartyGaming CEO Mitch Garber) and now Harrah's Interactive Entertainment (HIE) has a new base of operations.
According to a report in the Montreal Gazette, the new head of HIE has established its headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The Gazette reports that Garber has already has his office near Montreal's city center as well as 10 workers on board, "mostly business-development types," with plans to expand significantly.
"There is a hunger for World Series of Poker events, like PGA golf, with events taking place everywhere, whether it is Moscow, Montreal, Rome," Garber said.
"Our intent is to deal with government and licensing authorities in every jurisdiction to grow the World Series of Poker."
