POKER
According to the Las Vegas Sun, before Phil Hellmuth Jr. won his 1989 WSOP main event bracelet, he made a list of things to do.
"Win the big one at the WSOP,—let's see, I wrote this list in '88 and in '89 I won it," Hellmuth told the Las Vegas Sun.
"Meet and marry a wonderful woman, write a New York Times bestselling book, buy a beautiful house, buy a nice car, win lots of big poker tournaments'—I've done all that too," he said.
Hellmuth is married and won a lot of tournaments, including that 1989 WSOP main event, and now he has released a book too.
Entitled, "Deal me in" the book tells the stories of 20 of the most prominent poker professionals—Scotty Nguyen, Chris Ferguson, Peter Eastgate, Tom "Durrr" Dwan, Jennifer Harman, Johnny Chan, David "Devilfish" Ulliott, Chau Giang, Annette Obrestad, Erik Seidel, Howard Lederer, Allen Cunningham, Chad Brown, Layne Flack, Carlos Mortensen, Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Annie Duke and of course Hellmuth himself.
The book is the first book to be published by Hellmuth's publishing, Phil’s House Publishing, and is 308 pages with color photos.
According to Bluff magazine a number of editions of the book could be published as the 20 best poker players is subject to change.
