Online gaming company CryptoLogic is announcing and planning changes to its board.
Firstly, the company said that its board has selected David Gavagan as its "new independent non-executive chairman."
"[Gavagan] will succeed Robert Stikeman, who steps down as chairman but continues as a non-executive director," said CryptoLogic and he will actually assume his new position at the company's annual shareholders meeting on June 3, 2009.
A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Gavagan has 29 years worth of experience in the boardroom and first joined CryptoLogic as an independent non-exec director back in June of 2008.
In other news, Crypto proposed that another independent non-executive director come aboard.
"CryptoLogic also announces today that it proposes to appoint James Wallace as an independent non-executive director at the annual meeting. Mr. Wallace's appointment, if approved by shareholders, will increase the total number of independent directors to four," read a press release.
Wallace is currently chairman of Scapa Group Plc.
