POKER
Full Tilt Poker is not unfamiliar with celebrity, after all, it boasts the likes of Howard Lederer, Gus Hansen and 2008 World Series of Poker Europe main event champ John Juanda on its roster, but it has signed a deal with a Hollywood hard-hitter.
Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle has signed a partnership with Full Tilt and is now officially a "Friend of Full Tilt."
Cheadle is no stranger to poker either.
"Don is co-founder of the Ante Up for Africa No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament alongside poker pro Annie Duke and their partner Norman Epstein," read a press release.
"Organizers of the annual $5000 buy-in tournament ask players to donate 50 percent of their winnings back to the charity which is distributed to organizations such as the 'Enough Project,' 'Not on Our Watch' and the 'International Rescue Committee.'"
The charity event has been running since 2007 and brings together the likes of Phil Ivey, Andy Bloch and Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon to play poker and raise money.
"The third Ante Up for Africa is due to take place on July 2nd at 2pm in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino during the 2009 World Series of Poker," the release said.
"In support, FullTiltPoker.com will be running a $5+$5 private charity tournament before the live event in which the $5 entry fee will go to the charity, date TBA."
The Ante Up For Africa event has raised $2 million to date.
