Melissa Rivers Folds, Annie Duke In Final Five 27 April, 2009
POKER
Just like the car wreck on the highway, we can't stop watching this season of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.
The feud between Joan and Melissa Rivers has been brewing for a long time and while it boiled over last week, when Joan referred to Duke as a "Nazi," it caught fire this week (see above video).
Tasked with creating a four-page ad spread for Right Guard's new Fast Break deodorant with Team Athena consisting of poker player Annie Duke, Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick (this week's project manager) and the aforementioned TV producer Melissa Rivers. Team KOTU had comedian Joan Rivers, West Coast Choppers CEO Jesse James and country music star Clint Black.
While the majority of last night's episode focused on the tension between KOTU's James and Black, the scene would occasionally shift back to Athena and the duo of Duke and Roderick and their supposed conspiring against the younger Rivers.
In the boardroom, Donald Trump announced that despite James and Black's bickering, their ad was chosen by Right Guard while Roderick et al. lost and as such would lose a member.
For a minute, it looked like Roderick would get the axe but she stood up for herself and won favor with Donald and Ivanka Trump and CNN's Jim Cramer.
The other two were chastised as well and Rivers might've sealed her fate when she cut off Donald Trump while he was talking.
Following her dismissal, Melissa Rivers went on an obscenity-laced tirade that featured a number of "F-Bombs" directed at Duke and Roderick and M. Rivers also referred to the two as "pit-vipers" and "whores."
Joan, although on the other team, felt her daughter's pain and also went off on Roderick and Duke, saying to the latter, "Poker players are trash, darling, trash."
