According to numerous reports, online gambling company 888.com has signed a deal with identification verification company 192business.

888 will use 192business' Check-ID solution which will aid the online gaming company during the player sign up process.

Check-ID is designed to detect underage gamblers, money-laundering, assess the legitimacy of player information as well prevent identification fraud while a player creates an account.

"Player verification enables us to go into new markets safely and responsibly," said 888's director of responsible gaming, Ruth Tanami.

"It not only minimizes paper-based player identity checking that impairs the customer experience, but maintains our commitment to being a socially responsible operator by preventing underage players accessing our gaming sites."
