Go Daddy Sponsoring NBC Heads Up Broadcast
9 April, 2009

POKER

Although (American television channel) NBC held its 2009 National Heads-Up Poker Championship back in early-March, it will begin airing episodes of the event starting this Sunday (April 12, 2009) and will continue to do so through May 17 and a prominent internet presence will be sponsor.

According to a press release, web domain registration site Go Daddy is NBC's Heads-Up Poker Championship's broadcast sponsor.

Fittingly, Go Daddy unveiled an ambassador of sorts, around the time the event took place in March, and she is prominent in the event.

"In early March, the Internet powerhouse unveiled a new Go Daddy Girl to the world, Vanessa Rousso, Team PokerStars Pro," said a Go Daddy release.

"Rousso is not only the world’s hottest female poker player—she has already earned in excess of $2MM playing poker professionally and battles some of the biggest names in poker for the 'big bucks' in this one-on-one competition."

In addition, some appropriately themed commercials will air during each of the Heads-Up Poker Championship broadcasts.

"Go Daddy filmed special poker-themed commercials in Las Vegas which are set to air during the Go Daddy-sponsored broadcasts on NBC," Go Daddy said.

"Look for new Go Daddy Girl Vanessa Rousso, Team PokerStars Pro, to be featured in the ads with Go Daddy Girl and IndyCar Series’ most popular driver, Danica Patrick, original Go Daddy Girl Candice Michelle and Go Daddy’s CEO and founder Bob Parsons."

Six episodes will run in all.
