After a few days rest, March Madness begins again tonight in earnest.

History was made last year when the four top seeds—Kansas, Memphis, UCLA and North Carolina—made the Final Four and a history was again made in this year's tourney as each region has seen its first, second and third seeds advance to the Sweet 16.

Amongst all those teams are March Madness 2009's four number ones, Louisville, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and North Carolina.

Will it be two year's in a row that the Final Four will be comprised fully of top seeds?

Louisville Cardinals, No. 1 Midwest Region

Louisville comes into its Friday Sweet 16 matchup against 8.5-point underdog Arizona on a bit of a hot streak going 12-0 SU and 8-4 ATS, although it is 0-2 ATS in this year's tournament.

In the Cards' last five tilts where favored by more than 8-points, Louisville is a stark contrast, going 5-0 SU and 1-4 ATS.

The last meeting between the two yielded an SU and ATS victory for Arizona in a 72-65 victory in 2006.

North Carolina Tar Heels, No. 1 South Region

The Tar Heels face perennial tournament team Gonzaga on Friday listed as an 8-point favorite.

North Carolina is 2-0 SU, ATS and on the Under in the tournament and is 17-3 SU but only 8-12 ATS in the 20 games prior to its tilt against 'Zags and in their last matchup, Gonzaga came out on top covering at +8 and winning outright 82-74.

UNC is 13-7 SU and 9-10-1 ATS in its last 20 when favored by 8-points or less.

Connecticut Huskies, No. 1 West Region

UConn will meet the Purdue Boilermakers listed as 5.5-point favorites but can they cover, let alone win straight up, with all the distractions?

Trouble has been coming in battalions for UConn in March Madness 2009, first with head coach Jim Calhoun missing the team's tourney opener against Tennessee-Chattanooga and even more so with a report that broke yesterday.

Yahoo! Sports reported that UConn broke NCAA violations when recruiting former guard Nate Miles, who was expelled last year.

Provisions of "lodging, transportation, restaurant meals and representation by Josh Nochimson" were amongst the alleged infractions.

The NCAA is said to be launching a probe and it remains to be seen how the constant questions to Calhoun and the players and the distinct possibility that Purdue fans will be heckling the team with related chants will affect UConn.

The Huskies are 4-2 ATS in their last six games when favored by 6-points or less.

Pittsburgh Panthers, No. 1 East Region

While Pitt is 2-0 SU in this year's tourney it is also 0-2 ATS and it faces the Xavier Musketeers listed at -6.5.

For its part, Xavier comes into tonight's game going 6-2 SU and 5-2-1 ATS in its last eight leading up to this game while Pitt is 8-2 SU and merely 5-5 ATS in its last 10.

The two have met only once in the past 11 years with Pittsburgh covering as a 7-point road underdog in a 94-76 win over Xavier back in 1998.
