With the National Basketball Association's All-Star game set for this weekend in Phoenix, Arizona, there will be no shortage of festivities and prominent poker pros Greg "Fossilman" Raymer and Gavin Smith will be hosting some events as well.
Set for "lucky" Friday, February 13, 2009 in Chandler, Arizona, Raymer and Smith will be partaking in the The Legends of Basketball Par and Poker Celebrity Challenge.
The golf and poker charity event will see proceeds going towards the Legends Cares Foundation ( and the Joyner-Walker Foundation and will see poker pros, NBA hall of famers and some Hollywood celebrities as well.
"The inaugural NBA Legends tournament consists of an 18-hole golf tournament at Whirlwind Golf Club and a No Limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament at Gila River's Wild Horse Pass Casino," said a press release.
A large cash purse is up for grabs as well as seats to the 2009 World Series of Poker.
"As my third Par and Poker appearance, I've enjoyed playing with poker enthusiasts and celebrities alike," explained Raymer.
"I invite the public to join me for a great cause and good times."
