10 February, 2009

NEWS

CryptoLogic Ltd. announced the departure of chief technology officer Michael Starzynski in a move aimed at helping the company return to profitability.

Crypto is currently focusing its earning revenue from its online casinos and gaming brands and is looking to cut yearly operational costs by $13 million.

As part of this directive, CryptoLogic has cut the costs of operating a poker network and reduced servers by 75 percent.

The company announced that there won't be a replacement, rather, the various tasks that the CTO was responsible for will be divvied up between other managers.

"All members of the CryptoLogic team join me in thanking Mike for his service over the last five years and wishing him well as he embarks on new challenges," said president and CEO Brian Hadfield.
