POKER
Remember the old biblical tale about the master that gave talents (money) to one of his servants, who then went on to produce five more? That's the sort of thing boylepoker.com pro Peter Murphy will be trying to do.
Murphy is taking part in boylepoker.com's Multiplier Challenge and will try to convert a $100 bankroll into $10,000 by Friday, January 23, 2009 at his sponsor's site.
"Murphy will have to use all his poker, game selection and money management skills to reach this ambitious target and poker fans can follow his every up and down as he grinds his way through the levels and a variety of games and writes about his experience in detail at Boylepokerblog.com," said boylepoker.com in a release.
Murphy's poker journey began three years ago and has taken €80,000 in live tourney winnings and is excited about his latest undertaking.
"I'm really looking forward to it," Murphy said.
"I believe I am odds on to complete the challenge successfully but most people I've talked to think I am odds against -- I'm sure I can prove them wrong and I plan to share this intense experience in all its glory at Boylepokerblog.com."
Murphy will play under the tag "murphymultiplier" and according to a press release, "will start at micro limits and progress though the levels playing cash games, single- and multi-table tournaments, heads-up, short-handed, hold'em and Omaha."
