There are annual events that many look forward to each year, such as Christmas and the Super Bowl, and for those in the iGaming industry there is the Fire&Ice social.

Put on by Lyceum Media, this year's event takes place on January 28, 2009 in London's Camden Town, at the Gilgamesh Restaurant Lounge and amongst the sponsors, Asian Logic, CryptoLogic, Bluff Europe and the Cake Poker Network.

The fact that the event will be held at the Gilamesh Restaurant is fitting as Gilgamesh is a figure in ancient Mesopotamian mythology and the Fire&Ice events are known to be somewhat decadent, just like in Babylonian times.

"Gilgamesh is a testament to cool, contemporary style, perfectly fused with the exotic imagery and mystique of the Babylonian era. Its dramatic interiors has been featured in magazines for their unique hand carved furniture, their lapis lazuli inlaid 50metre bar, retractable ceiling and ornate walls of beaten bronze panels that tell the epic story of Gilgamesh, said a press release.

"We had quite a challenge selecting a venue for 2009 as we needed something exclusive yet extravagant enough to create an unforgettable Fire & Ice for veterans and to amaze its newcomers," said Jodie Thind, the event's producer.

"Gilgamesh is the perfect place to party, network and most importantly to have a fantastic evening."
