Global online gambling software provider GigaMedia Limited has entered into a partnership with the Victor Chandler International Group, which is expected to give Giga a boost to its Everest Gaming platform.

The deal will aid GigaMedia as it launches its all-new online sportsbetting site Everest Bets, which will see the union of two strong online gaming brands, Victor Chandler and Everest.

Everest Bets will be the perfect complement to Everest Casino and Everest Poker and will offer wagers on U.S. football, football or soccer, basketball, horse racing and rugby.

" . . . a significant percentage of Everest's players currently engage in sports betting," said GigaMedia in a release.

"The cross-marketing benefits and enhanced leverage resulting from the strategic partnership are very substantial."

Victor Chandler was happy to sign on with GigaMedia and also saw potential in the deal.

"The sports betting product will offer all popular sports in many European languages, and complement Everest's superb poker and casino offering."
