Harvard Medical School Division of Addictions has released a study that concludes online gambling to be safer than live gambling. In a report that studies the trends of increased online gambling against rates of gambling addiction, the figures show that there are currently no statistics to show that gambling addiction has increased at the same rate that online gambling has.
This shows that online gambling is often more an online leisure activity that people pursue in their own time. 95% of the players studied only invested an average of $16 at two poker session per week. This shows that online gambling is a safe activity for all those who are opposing it as a problem to society.
